Although Max is a California resident and has never previously been to Nebraska, the government has insisted upon his extradition to Nebraska, ensuring total isolation from any loved ones. Despite facing federal charges, he is being held in small county jail outside of Omaha, Nebraska; Cass County Jail in Plattsmouth. This jail does not allow visitation and has zero outdoor access for recreation.

Yes, Max is allowed to receive new paperback books from retailers and bookstores such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. He can’t receive hardcovers or books sent from individuals, they must be sent through an online shopping distributor.

Other than books, mail, news articles or photos, no other items can be sent to Max. The jail does not allow packages from outside the facility; everything must be purchased through Max's commissary account.
